By Carl Bancoro

Xavier Zealous from Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School scratched passed the Heralds with score of 62-60 during the Heralds’ second game in the tournament last August 24, 2013. During the first half, the Heralds dominated the game with score of 26-19.
The good luck streak the Heralds had ended during the 3rd quarter. They put up a weak offense so their shots either missed got blocked and to add insult to injury Xavier Zealous had a strong defense resulting the Heralds to be down from the 7 points to 18 points by the end of the quarter.

During the 4th quarter, the Heralds received a wake up call. Their offense and defense improved that resulted to Xavier Zealous to only  score 6 points while the Heralds put  up 24 points of their own. At the end of the quarter, the Heralds tied the game to 51-all.

When overtime came, the two teams both put up 4 points on the score board that forced a second overtime. The Heralds just couldn’t put themselves together so they made a lot of crucial mistakes and that led Xavier Zealous to win.
